A memorandum of understanding was signed at the headquarters of the Supreme Council for Women between the Supreme Council for Women and the Bahraini Women's Union. The agreement was signed on behalf of both sides by Her Excellency the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Ms. Lulwa Al-Awadhi, and the President of the Bahrain Women Union, Ms. Ahlam Rajab.

The importance of signing this memorandum lies in the fact that it establishes a future phase, within the framework of implementing programs to build and develop women’s capacities through skills and training, highlighting their efforts and achievements, while spreading knowledge about women’s issues and family stability, and raising awareness of the importance of applying the principle of equal opportunities to ensure the competitiveness of Bahraini women and the continuity of their lifelong learning, Striving to enhance cooperation in promoting the national model for integrating women's needs and equal opportunities locally, regionally, and internationally, and coordinating and cooperating in disseminating a culture that supports women and highlighting their efforts and achievements, in addition to exchanging expertise and cooperating in the areas of combating violence against women and family counseling services, and exchanging statistics, information, expertise, studies, and research in areas of common interest.
In addition, cooperation is provided in the field of awareness and training programmes and the dissemination of knowledge on women's issues and family stability.
