The Union participates in the meetings of the Free Regional Coalition.

Ms. Badria Al Marzooq, Head of the Family Law and Marriage Contract Provisions Committee at  Bahrain Women Union, participated in the Free Regional Coalition meeting via video conference on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in the presence of delegations from a number of Middle Eastern countries.
This is to discuss a number of international experiences related to reforming family laws in these countries, as well as to examine aspects of capacity building and develop a map for training and raising the level of competence among coalition members, with regard to many topics, the most important of which are the marriage of minors and protection from the dangers of harassment and assault of all kinds.
This meeting comes as a result of the attendance of a number of coalition members at the Women's Committee meeting in New York, USA, where some international experiences regarding family law reform were discussed.
